Integrated finishing lines for architectural elements

Building technology

The building sector relies on manufacturers of architectural elements for interior and exterior environments. There are many such elements and just as many substrates involved, which contribute with specific physical or functional characteristics as well as being aesthetically attractive.

Whether they are made of wood and its derivatives, ceramics, plastics, fibre cement or other materials, we have a portfolio of finishing equipment which can be integrated into end-to-end production lines, featuring the most appropriate technologies at each step of the process.

Technologies or finished products?

If you are interested in discovering the numerous technologies we have mastered over the years, we have a section dedicated to spray coating, roller coating, curtain coating, drying, wrapping, handling and other techniques or processes.

On the other hand, you may want to examine our capabilities for finished products such as sidings, doors, windows, parquet flooring, solar panels, etc.

Sidings and roof tiles

When dealing with architectural elements that need to withstand the conditions in an external environment, the finishing process has to enhance the structural and functional characteristics of the material, as well as the surface finish from an aesthetic point of view. We have years of experience in providing the right mix of technologies to add value to these materials and end products, stretching from flow coating to vacuum coating technologies.

Exterior doors

Special overhead lines with maximum automation, using anthropomorphic robots with a 3-gun wrist, reduce lead times and maximise production efficiency.

Windows

Either assembled or non-assembled, window frames in PVC or wood can be finished on overhead lines with iFlow for impregnation and iGiotto our spray-coating solution. Equipped with special software and 3D reading barriers on overhead lines, the process is fully automatic and ensures excellent transfer efficiency. The entire process can be performed on horizontal lines with LineFlow, DryFlow or Talent, specially conceived for non-assembled windows.

Synthetic flooring

In the case of LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) or SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) flooring, we have perfected different processes according to the substrate material. These include latest-generation industrial digital printing equipment ensuring extreme flexibility, even for minimal volumes and capable of producing tactile effects if needed. Abrasion Criteria grades 4 and 5 can be achieved for critical foot traffic situations and by using a selection of 3D image files, the parquet flooring effect will be almost impossible to tell apart from the real wooden equivalent. We also design and develop fully integrated roller coating lines for synthetic flooring and take into account your targets in terms of production volumes and productivity.

Parquet flooring

The finishing solutions for parquet flooring again need to address functional issues as well as the aesthetic aspects. Our solutions include industrial digital printers which can achieve a tactile effect and confer excellent foot traffic resistance to the parquet boards. There are also solutions we have developed for antique-looking parquet using Smartparquet roller coating equipment and our integrated in-line UV-R oven.

Skirting boards

Another common product you will need to process in the building industry are skirting boards. In our range of over 300 machine types, there is a model built to process skirting boards, but the following link also provides insight into the brushing machines and drying solutions in our range.

Ceramic panels

A number of factors will affect the technique you will require to decorate ceramics, either for large tiles or wall coverings, either for interior or exterior use. One solution involves digital printing technologies, both high and low-temperature processes. Another way is to use curtain, roller or spray coating solutions and a Solid Colour process. We can recommend the suitable process and the best equipment according to your needs.

Solar panels

Not the easiest elements to finish correctly, coating solar panels is also one of our specialities, where our experience developing the right technologies with manufacturers has led to several interesting cases. As with most projects, our solutions are tailored each time according to customer specifications.

Thermoplastic elements

Used more and more often in building interiors, thermoplastic elements such as multi-wall panels or folding doors require a finishing process which adds value to the substrate. This can be done with industrial digital printing technologies as well as roller or spray coating solutions. Enhancing the value of these products also involves the glossy or matt finish you may wish for, and we have all the machines you need.
