iGiottoBrush

Focus On

iGiottoBrush is a combination of a 5-axis anthropomorphic robot and a vertical sanding kit consisting of 2 variable speed rotating brushes.
Designed primarily for brushing the edges of panel stacks.

Description

Brushing is a process included in most stacked panel edge coating lines. iGiottoBrush is a highly modular sanding cell, which can be integrated into coating lines and used for both basecoat and uncoated workpiece brushing.

Ideal for brush-sanding any type of wooden, wood derivative and composite material panels, iGiottoBrush is equipped with a quick-removal 2-brush assembly for easy maintenance and replacement.

The machine comes factory-equipped with multifunctional brushes with double direction of rotation, which can be fitted with two different types of abrasive paper at the same time for special sanding requirements.

The control board is equipped with a touchscreen monitor that allows all the working parameters to be kept under control. The working speed of the brushes, the speed at which to complete trajectories and changes in the pressure exerted on the workpieces can all be adjusted.

A reading system upstream from the sanding area detects the dimensions of the conveyed stack in advance and automatically generates the working trajectories, with the level of flexibility that only an anthropomorphic robot can ensure. The software allows brushing recipes to be saved to a database to be associated with the stack manually or automatically.

Characteristics

  • Highly modular, it can be used in a line or retrofitted on existing lines
  • Suitable for brushing the edges of any type of flat panel
  • Quick removable brush assemblies
  • All parameters can be managed from the touch screen control monitor
