IMOLA. Cefla Finishing, present at the InPrint 2016 fair (held in Milan from 15 to 17 November) with the subsidiary Jetset, has won the InPrint Founders Award, the prize dedicated to Paolo Capano, one of the founders and key supporters of the exhibition who passed away suddenly in 2015. The independent jury selected candidate companies, automatically including those on the Grandi Innovazioni prize list.
The winner of the Inprint Founders Award - which aims to acknowledge the participants' excellence, innovation and entrepreneurship - was, then, Jet-Set, a Bergamo-based company that joined the Imola-based Cefla Group in 2016. At InPrint 2016 Cefla presented a double version of the “Gate” plotter that Jetset has developed over the last two years. This machine is characterised by an extreme modularity that gives the user a broad ability to work on different substrates, thanks also to roll-to- roll solutions for flexible materials and conveyor belts, a wide range of printing heads and different drying technologies (UV, LED, infrared and hot air).
The acknowledgement on the part of the jury rewards the intense research and development effort that has gone into a system which integrates multiple technologies. A system aimed at different market segments that has also evolved its concept in the light of the most recent innovations, such as the introduction of single-pass modules and solutions for decoration - even with multiple shades of colour - in a single sweep.
