SANDING ROW AND COATED MATERIAL

by admin last modified 2007-11-26 18:02

The sanding process is a surface treatment for material removal and is applied on the wood or coat in order to increase the workpieces quality by carrying out the following operations:

to prepare the row wood for the first coating phase or for its wrapping or foiling,
performed on the coated wood, it prepares the material for the top coat application.

Sanding, as first or intermediate operation, has a fundamental influence on the final product quality and therefore is essential for the  processing cycle. Due to the complex nature and shape of the mouldings, different sanding units are installed: brushes, emery grinding wheels with different hardness, flat and shaped sanding belts - all these aggregates cover the whole grain range.
The finishing of mouldings with minimum length requires the necessity to operate with different  forwarding conveying systems: rectified rubber belts, roller couples, single or double continuous chains, geared chains, vacuum belts.
In this context, the modular machine's structure becomes an essential element  to assure the correct and complete covering of the mouldings shape and to obtain high working speeds by increasing the number of the operating units already applied on the same shape's side.
